Today I am going to recommend you another great hard-surface cleaner that works on both wet and dry floor: BISSELL Flip-!t . Whether I used a regular mop and bucket, my swiffer wet jet, or my hoover steam vac, I always ended up with a haze on my hardwood floors that I would clean off with a wipe or furniture polish. This is the first tool that leaves my floor really shiny and without a haze. The wood floor cleaner is definitely more usefull than using a Quickie mop and not as much work as getting down on my knees with a scrub brush.

Pros

I may also mention that it works the best if you take it at a slow speed over the floor. Also his heat feature is great. It does put the water down in lines though, and the handle has a lot of weight on it compared to regular vacs, but on the plus side it’s:
- easy to use and scrubs about as well as a mop
- uses much less water than the mop
- dries very well – I really love this feature, you must try it
- it’s very easy to clean out
- the water tanks are sealed great – dirty water doesn’t mix with clean, ever
- it vacuums pretty well (not a sub for a full size vac, but worked well enough for me to prep for wet cleaning)

Cons

My only complaints are – The Bissell Flip-It Select Hard Floor Cleaner with Heat doesn’t suck up all the water as advertised – if you are really demanding, it leaves enough that it takes a good 30 minutes for the floor to be really dry. And I’d like to see some rotating brushes on the bottom to make getting those scuffs off easier. If it had these two complaints covered, we would easily give it a perfect 5 star rating. Still, it’s the best Floor Cleaner that we’ve owned or tried. A pretty satisfied customer here.

As a conclusion if this item is used within its operating parameters it can’t be beat. Keep it clean, dump out the dirty water when it needs to be instead of being lazy and this thing will do wonders.

• Mold which appears on wood floors because of excess moisture can be removed if you clean first the place with a dry cloth and then wipe with a wood floor cleaner. Do not use wet rag to remove the stain, even if you feel for the moment that you clean it.  If the stain still not disappeared, wipe the area with baking again.

• If the floor is old, there may be cracks that become very visible and spoil the look of the room. Sawdust is best to address them. To avoid problems for a long enough period, you can apply a paste made from a mixture of sawdust and glue. Apply this paste through cracks with a thin stick that is wider at one end. Smooth then the place and leave it uncovered 24 hours for the paste to dry thoroughly.

• Grease or oil can be removed if you use liquid hand soap or laundry soap. If the stain did not go, little wool soaked in petrol or vinegar and keep 30 minutes smeared over the place. If you don’t have these liquids, you can use  ammonium bicarbonate diluted in water.

• Cigarette burns or old ash marks on your flooring can be removed using sandpaper. Once you cleaned the place with sandpaper sprinkle baking ammonia and leave it one hour, then wipe with a clean cloth. If cigarette burn is too deep, the floor must be repaired by a qualified personnel.

• Rust stains can be removed if you clean the floor with a solution prepared from oxalic acid and water. Next you sprinkle a little flour and then leave two hours. Wipe again with the solution of oxalic acid and allow to dry.

• Polished floors are cleaned with a cloth that is soaked in lukewarm water and is wrung very well. Then, wipe it with a dry cloth.  Don’t lay the carpet once finished cleaning the floor, but wait for an hour for it to dry well. Unglazed floor is cleaned once a week. Use a vacuum cleaner and then wipe the floor with a soft cloth.
